Tekto Knives

Elite blades combining razor sharpness and strength for peak performance. Produced by award-winning designers with precision and elegance worthy of display.

Tekto Knives: Brand History

With origins tracing back to 1974, Tekto Knives was founded by skilled bladesmith Takeshi Saji in Seki City, Japan – a legendary epicentre of sword and knife making for over 800 years. As an apprentice-trained metal worker, Saji envisioned elevating modern cutlery practices by blending traditional techniques with advanced materials and technology.

After gaining recognition for highly specialized tactical combat knives supplied to elite defence forces, Tekto knives expanded production while upholding strict Japanese standards for precision-forged blades.

In 2001, celebrated designer Ken Onion collaborated with Tekto master metal workers to release the first commercially successful pocket knife integrating a revolutionary ball-bearing opening mechanism.

Now led by second-generation knifemaker Eugene Saji, Tekto Knives celebrates almost 50 years of heritage supplying premium knives across hunting, survival, EDC, and custom forged collectible categories.

Staying true to handcrafted roots yet evolved for the 21st century, Tekto Knives combine legacy with innovation to continuously achieve excellence in form and absolute function.
