Arisaka Defense, Tailcap Adapter, Fits Rail Mounted Streamlight ProTac HL-X,

The Arisaka Tailcap Adapter enables the popular Streamlight Protac Rail Mount HL-X weapon lights to utilize a variety of SureFire tail-caps, pressure switches, and dual remote switches for more versatile control options. These lights do not come with a front battery spring attached to the light.  So under recoil, the battery can come off the front contact resulting in the blinking or flickering of the light.

The Arisaka Streamlight Adapter resolves battery spring issues under recoil by integrating o-ring retention for CR123 and 18650 cells. This prevents blinking or flickering by stopping battery disconnects downrange when mounted on railed handguards.

Machined from 6061 aluminum and Type III hard anodized, this simple 0.6-ounce Streamlight SureFire Adapter adapter expands compatibility without altering Streamlight’s existing TEN-TAP programming functionality.

By converting the Streamlight’s design to a Scout light rear clicky switch format, the HL-X can now work with SureFire tailcaps like the UE, DS, and Z68 models. This allows wiring pressure pads or dual remotes like the Unity TAPS and SureFire SR-D-IT commonly used with IR laser/illuminator systems. The adapter adds 0.49 inches but provides a secure new interface and wiring routing.

The Arisaka HLX Tailcap Adapter allows the HL-X to shine even brighter by bringing the best features of both platforms.
